Started this drawing of the Makeshift Man and got this far with the inking, but I don’t think I’m ever gonna finish it, so…there you have it.
The Makeshift Man issue 3 is almost ready to debut! I’ve got the script all written, but there’s a problem with the last page that I have to fix before I can actually start drawing the book. (I can’t just start working while I figure out the problem, because I’m going to have to fix it by finding some place earlier in the story to add some set-up for the last page, you dig? One of those situations.)
(If you wanna be my editor for issue 3 and help me figure out a solution, that would be way appreciated. Drop me a line and I’ll send you the script.)
In the meantime, maybe you wanna read the first two stories, if you haven’t already? It’s a sort of fantasy book with sarcasm and monsters and violence
You can read ‘em for free at my website, starting here. I’m working on a shiny new website with a better reading layout, but that’s not ready yet, beggin’ yer indulgence, gents.
You can buy a digital download of issue 2 for only 99 little cents! (Not issue 1, for reasons I have yet to determine.)
You can buy print copies of both issue 1 and issue 2 for five little dollars each! I’ll also have copies available through my Etsy store soon, with the option to get yours signed and/or with a bonus drawing included. Issue 1 includes a bonus pin-up by Danielle Payne, and issue 2 has a pin-up by Crystal Yates!
Each book is a complete, stand-alone story, rather longer than your standard funnybook, and are printed in full color! (The art is done entirely in watercolor!) (These books are not appropriate for children!)
